PLAYING TENNIS SAFELY
PLAYER TIPS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
These rules are intended to comply with guidance from NYS in response to the Covid-19 pandemic and are in effect until further notice. Updates will be made as and when revised guidance is provided by NYS, or at the discretion of the Board.
• Existing rules regarding PROPER TENNIS ATTIRE AND TENNIS SHOES IS ONLY PERMITTED. Shirts must be worn at all times.
• Reservation rule will still be in effect, sign-up sheets will be at the courts.
• If the courts are busy, playing time must be limited to one (1) hour per household. Only residents should be playing. Children under 12 may not play without an adult.
• Practice – a person playing alone must relinquish the court to two or more
• Doubles may be allowed only among members of the same household, otherwise only singles play is allowed.
• New tennis balls should be used and when playing singles each player should have their own marked set that only they are touching.
• If a ball from another court comes to you, send it back with a kick or your racket, do not touch it.
• Anyone using the tennis courts must maintain Social Distancing of at least 6 feet from each other, including while on the courts, in the area around the courts and in the parking lot.
• Players should not congregate before, during or after play. The benches should not be used, nor should the garbage containers. Please take your beverage containers and or garbage with you when you leave.
